Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said Egypt is facing major economic and democratic transition challenges, adding his government is working on achieving the people's aspirations for "Bread, Freedom and Human Dignity". At the inaugural session of the annual conference of the Middle East and North Africa Council of American Chambers of Commerce on 13/1/2013, Qandil said Egypt started the stage of political stability with issuing the first constitution after the January 25 Revolution.
Qandil called on businessmen from all over the world to invest their money in Egypt, adding that holding the conference now is an indication to the security and safety that Egypt enjoys. He further pledged the government's commitment to carry out economic reform, plug deficit in the state budget and solve other main problems, topped by subsidy that does not reach deserving beneficiaries.
