Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Hatem Saleh pointed out that Italy plans to transfer 25 Italian industrial plants to Egypt within the coming period, adding Egypt is keen on receiving more Italian investments. This came in the minister’s meeting with Italian ambassador to Cairo Maurizio Massari, in which they discussed means of boosting trade and economic cooperation, trade exchange as well as bilateral investments. Saleh highlighted that President Morsi's visit in September to Italy helped develop and boost bilateral relations. He discussed with the ambassador means of setting up Egyptian-Italian industrial zone in al-Alameen on ten million square meters that can harbors almost 2000 plants.
