The Egyptian and Turkish Exchanges will be linked in September this year, said Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange (ESE) Khaled Nashar on 17/4/2013. He added that most of the steps required for this process have already been finalized.
An initial agreement was reached by both sides that joint trading will start with 30 companies registered in each of the two stock markets. Those from Egypt's side are going to be the most active stakeholders that fall within the main benchmark index EGX 30, he added. The move is meant to activate the performance of the Egyptian stock market and attract more investors, he added. |
