The Ministry of Electricity and Energy considers issuing bonds (sukuk) in cooperation with the national banks and putting them up for public subscription as part of public participation in power generation projects which need annual investments of EGP 20 billion. Minister of Electricity Ahmed Emam urged every Egyptian to cooperate for boosting the electricity sector which works round the clock to meet the citizens' demands.
