Yehia Hamed, CBE Governor Probe Boosting Investments

Minister of Investment Yehia Hamed conferred with Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hisham Ramez on means of boosting cooperation and joint coordination between the ministry and the CBE to push forward the development process and enhance national economy.

Discussions also tackled ways to activate the movement of investments and encourage investors whether through the offering of credit facilities or through the banking and non-banking credits.

Meanwhile, Hamed held a meeting with British Ambassador to Egypt James Watt to discuss bilateral relations and means of increasing British investments in Egypt.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, Hamed reviewed with the British diplomat the current British investments in Egypt, reiterating keenness on attracting new investors to the Egyptian market.
