H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral relations with Algeria, and the interest of the leaderships of both countries in promoting, expanding and deepening cooperation. Sheikh Abdullah made the remarks as he met with Algerian Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal to discuss ways to promote friendly relations and cooperation in service of the common interests of both countries.
Algerian Minister of Territorial Management '&' the Environment, Amara Benyounes, Minister of Industry, Small '&' Medium-Sized Enterprises, '&' Promotion of Investment, Cherif Rahmani, and the UAE ambassador to Algeria, Ali Nasser Al Mazrouie, attended the meeting. Sheikh Abdullah was received at the airport upon arrival by the Algerian Prime Minister and other senior officials. The two sides exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, the Middle East peace process and the crisis in Syria in particular. They discussed efforts to promote the UAE-Algerian economic and trade relation, and to encourage investments and advanced industrial and renewable energy projects. At the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to the Algerian prime minister greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Sellal asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. Prime Minister Sellal expressed his best wishes of further progress and prosperity for the UAE. He praised the progress of the bilateral relations with the UAE. |
