Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Al-Ibrahimi Discuss Latest Arab Developments in Cairo

H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Foreign Minister, has received at his residence in Cairo the UN and Arab League envoy to Syria, Al-Akhdar al-Ibrahimi.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Al-Ibrahimi discussed the latest developments in the Arab arena, especially the efforts being exerted by Al-Ibrahimi in cooperation with Arab and international parties to settle the conflict in Syria. They also exchanged views on convening the Geneva 2 conference to bring the Syrian parties to the table as well as the current efforts to reach a comprehensive settlement to the conflict.

The meeting attended by the UAE Ambassador to Egypt and UAE Permanent Envoy to Arab League, Mohammed bin Nakhaira Al Dhahiri, also covered the efforts being exerted to overcome the current standoff in Egypt.
