Minister of International Cooperation, Ziad Bahauddin, signed a mutual letter with South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Yong- so Kim by whom Egypt will get a Korean charitable grant of $ 2.6 million to finance the second phase of the electricity distribution system. South Koran had earlier in May 2011 helped the implementation of the first phase when it sent a grant valued at $ 1.8 million to help complete it.
The International Cooperation Minister asserted that the Korean program of aid provided to Egypt in the vocational and IT and electricity reflects the Korean government's awareness of the position that Egypt gains in the Middle East region and the African continent. |
