Finance Minister Ahmed Galal participates in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2014 to be held in Dowos, Switzerland, as part of an Egyptian delegation led by Premier Hazem el-Beblawy.
The conference– due to open 22/1/2014- is to be held under the theme of "The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business”. It aims at developing the insights, initiatives and actions necessary to respond to current and emerging challenges. During the conference, Egyptian officials will expound the ongoing reforms and future plans for boosting Egyptian economy in the coming period. In statements on 21/1/2014, Galal said Egypt's participation in the international event is a chance for restoring international market confidence in national economy and promoting ongoing reforms that would up economic growth rate and realize financial stability. He noted that Egypt is in dire need for encouraging foreign, Arab and national investments. On the fringe of the four-day event, Galal is scheduled to attend several sessions and hold tête-à-tête meetings with a large number of senior Arab and foreign officials. |
