The Egyptian economy started to rebound and the government will start soon to revise all legislations, which regulate the economic activities in Egypt, said Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour.
He further said that revising business-related laws aims at creating an investment-friendly climate. During a session of talks held on 29/1/2014 with World Bank's (WB) Regional Director in the Middle East Hartwig Schafer, Abdel-Nour said that the government is currently studying and planning two mega national projects, the Suez Canal Corridor Project and the Golden Triangle Project, which would revive the Egyptian economy. For his part, Schafer said that Egypt is still considered one of the important economies in the region, asserting that over the coming period, the Egyptian economy would restore its regional and international role. The WB is carrying out an industrial technical support project, at a total cost of $6 million, he added. The WB stands fully ready to implement new projects with the Egyptian government, he noted. |
