Red Sea Governor Major General Ahmed Abdullah held a meeting on 9/3/2014 with chiefs of the urban planning directorates to present their final outlines for the urban planning of New Halayeb City after it was turned from an affiliate village to Shalatin to an independent city including Abu Ramad, Ras Hedreba and Adldet townships.
The meeting reached an agreement on sending a letter to upgrade the design made by the Urban Planning Authority for the establishment of an airport for Halayeb city in Abu Ramad as well as extending bus trips of the Transport Ministry from Cairo, Qena and Aswan to the New Halayeb City. The meeting comes as part of measures that aimed at putting into effect the decision taken by former government led by Hazem Beblawy to turn Halayeb into an independent city. |
