Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met with Head of Mission of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States in Yemen Saad Al-Arifi.
At the meeting, Basindwa and Al-Arifi discussed the cooperation areas between Yemen and the General Secretariat of the GCC, especially with regard to the GCC countries' support to the development march in Yemen at the current stage. The meeting touched on the current developments on the national scene and the existing challenges and the required support to deal with those challenges. Basindwa highly valued the sincere efforts made by Secretary General of the GCC Dr. Abdulateef al-Zayani to serve the cooperation relations between Yemen and the GCC countries, stressing the positive role of the GCC countries in supporting the Yemeni people to overcome the difficulties facing the transitional stage. For his part, al-Arifi confirmed the keenness of the GCC's General Secretariat to provide all aspects of the technical support to Yemen in order to accomplish entitlements of the transition stage. |
