Suez Canal Authority (SCA) signed on 18/10/2014 agreements with international dredging companies to carry out the dredging of the new water way. The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.
SCA head Mohab Mamish signed the deals on behalf of the SCA while representatives from the alliance including the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC), Boskalis, Great Lakes and others signed as second party. For his part, Mahlab said that the government is using the best available capabilities in the New Suez Canal project to meet the set deadline. Mahlab said in a joint press conference with Mamish on Saturday: "We are three months ahead of the timetable of carrying out the project," |
