Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim met on Monday 10/11/2014 Lebanese Minister of Interior Nehad al-Mashnouq with whom he discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation.
The Lebanese minister said his country highly appreciates tangible efforts by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior for combating terrorism and putting terrorist crimes under control.
For his part, Ibrahim said the policy and strategy of his ministry have achieved much success in combating terrorism and enhancing security and stability.
The meeting took up ways of boosting cooperation and the latest developments in the region.
Mashnouq expressed his country's readiness to share any terrorism-related information with the Egyptian side, adding that both countries share the same goal of uprooting extremism and terrorism from the region.
Ibrahim, for his part, hailed the relations with Lebanon and hoped that the visit would further boost security cooperation.
