Transport Minister Hany Dahi met in Sharm el-Sheikh with a delegation from China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) to discuss cooperation aspects in the various transportation fields.
This came as part of a series of meetings held by the transport minister on the sidelines of Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) to review investment opportunities in transportation fields. The meeting took up investment opportunities with the Chinese delegation, who voiced readiness to invest in the transportation field in Egypt, given its attractive investment climate. The Chinese side affirmed that it will allocate 8-10 billion dollars in order to invest in the transportation sector within the upcoming five years, said Dahi. The Chinese side also voiced readiness to finance and implement the high-speed train from Alexandria to Aswan, added the minister. |
