President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on 21/4/2015 met with Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli and senior officials of the ministry.
The meeting dealt with a vision to expand the urban area by establishing new communities in the context of the one-million feddans' reclamation project, Presidency Spokesman Alaa Youssef said. The president was also briefed on the ideas proposed on ways to manage those new communities according to the President's vision, which is based on creating integrated and civilized communities, including housing, agriculture and factories for agricultural products, along with applying modern irrigation methods to preserve the available water resources. A new proposed urban community in Farafra, to be established on 10,000 reclaimed feddans, was presented to Sisi, the spokesman said. The president ordered the work in the project to begin immediately to be completed by October 2015, he added. |
