Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy-Foreign Trade sector has met with Luo Huining, Communist Party Chief of Qinghai Province and his accompanying delegation at the ministry's headquarters in Dubai.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strong bilateral relations spanning over 35 years between the UAE and China. They tackled ways to enhance cooperation to develop trade bonds between the UAE and Chinese Qinghai province as well as participating in all its trade events. Al Saleh underscored that the existing and future investment and trade cooperation with Qinghai would contribute to increase the trade exchange level between the UAE and China. He noted that the bilateral trade between the UAE and China is growing at 16 percent annually, stressing that China is the UAE's second largest trade partner as trade volume between the two countries stood at $54.8 billion in 2014. He also added that there are more than 300,000 Chinese nationals who are working and living in the UAE, in addition to over 4200 Chinese companies, 356 trade agencies and more than 2500 Chinese Trade labels registered to the ministry. Al Saleh invited the visiting delegation to attend the sixth edition of the Annual Investment Meeting 2016 in Dubai. On his part, Luo Huining expressed his country's keenness to develop bilateral economic ties with the UAE, noting that the visit will be followed by a number of visits to bolster cooperation. He said that the visit has contributed to briefing the delegation on a number of Emirati experiences, especially in administrative missions of government, lauding the notable development witnessed by the UAE under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. At the end of the meeting, the Chinese delegation affirmed its desire to arrange a visit for UAE investors to Qinghai province in the near future. They also invited the Ministry of Economy officials to visit Qinghai province. |
