Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khalid Hanafi announced the planning for establishing a global city of gold in Egypt.
The city aims to keep up with modern developments in the field of gold and silver industry, promote trade and sale operations in the markets, and increase investment in jewelry sector. Hanafi pointed out that there is a draft republican decree to turn the Authority for Jewelry Stamps and Balances into an independent economic body. This comes after the Prime Minister and the Committee of the Legislative Council approval on the reform bill. |
