Sixty-five ships transited the Suez Canal on 9/8/2015 on the third day of the official operation of the new canal, said Mohab Mamish, the chief of the Suez Canal Authority.
The vessels were carrying a total cargo of 3.8 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority. The south-bound convoy included 37 vessels carrying 1.9 million tons. The north-bound convoy included 28 ships carrying 1.9 million tons. |
