Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman said on 7/9/2015 that Egypt's economy was growing positively, citing the indicators of the Fiscal Year 2014/2015.
Addressing the annual Euromoney Conference which opened on Monday 7/9/2015 under the theme of "Financing the Future", Salman said that the country's economic growth rate hit 4.2 per cent of the GDP during the Fiscal Year 2014/2015. Salman added that the unemployment rate declined from 13.8 to 12.8 per cent, while the volume of net foreign direct investments increased to $ 5.7 billion in the first nine months of the fiscal year, compared to about $ 3.1 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The coming period will witness more easier measures for investors in all fields by facilitating ways to obtain land, licenses and permits for their projects, the minister said. |
