The annual inflation rate declined to 5.61 percent in August compared to 6.49 percent in July, announced the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
In a statement on 10/09/2015, the CBE said that the monthly main inflation rate hit 0.23 percent in August against 0.03 percent in July. Earlier, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that the annual inflation rate has increased by 0.6% in August compared to July to record 167.4 points against 166.5 points. It added that the annual inflation rate during the past month reached 7.9% compared to August 2014, thus hitting its lowest level in 2015. |
