President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved on 1/11/2015 the establishment of the largest complex for phosphate and compound fertilizers in Ain Sokhna to meet the needs of local market and to export surplus production abroad.
Spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Yousef said this came during Sisi’s meeting with head of the Armed Forces’ financial affairs authority, chairman of the National Service Projects, CEO of El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals and representatives of companies which have been awarded the tender of the project. The meeting tackled all aspects of the project, which will be executed by three of the world’s largest companies by using Italian, Spanish and Chinese technology. El Nasr Company will supervise the complex, which include nine factories with a total production capacity of one million tons per year. The President stressed the importance of implementing the project at the lowest possible cost, Yousef concluded. |
