The economic ministerial group, led by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, held on 9/11/2015 a meeting to discuss a number of important economic issues including spending on infrastructure like agricultural and industrial drainage, hospitals and education.
In statements, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said that Ismail asserted the importance of immediately setting up a study which aims to increase state resources and halt the increase in budget deficit via a number of steps. hese steps include reforming companies' structure and companies' unutilized assets and forming holding companies in investments, transportation, antiquities, supply, and petroleum sectors. The study also will allow private sector to invest in infrastructure fields. The meeting also reviewed proposals to exempt the Egyptian Propylene & Polypropylene Company from customs fees within the government's efforts to support national industry. During the meeting, trade and industry minister reviewed some problems facing iron and steel industry and sugar production and ways to solve them. |
