President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asserted the importance of industry and trade as key foundations of the national economy.
In addition to their economic benefits, they contribute to achieving more social stability by creating jobs for youths and increasing income, the President said at a meeting with Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabeel. The minister reviewed strategy and plans for developing industry and trade sectors over the coming three years, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said. Qabeel said the plans are meant to boost the industry sector to become the main locomotive of the national income and to increase exports. He noted that the ministry managed to stop the decline in exports and achieve an increase in October 2015. The minister said the short-term plan during this fiscal year aims to achieve swift results by improving the industry and trade climate along with amending regulations. He added that his ministry seeks to resolve problems of investors and exporters. |
