The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that industrial production increased during the first quarter of 2015 by 4.8 percent, hitting EGP 88.3 billion compared to EGP 84.2 billion during the fourth quarter of 2014, and increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same period of the past year which reached EGP 85.1 billion.
In its quarterly bulletin, CAPMAS said that the value of production for the food products industry has increased by 24.6 percent to reach EGP 22.3 billion during the first quarter of 2015 compared to EGP 17.9 billion during the fourth quarter of 2014, and increased by 3 percent compared to the same period of the past year which reached EGP 21.6 billion.
