International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr witnessed the signing ceremony of two EU agreements worth EUR 62 million.
The ceremony was also attended by Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Education Minister El Helaly El Sherbeeny, Secretary-General of the National Council for Childhood & Motherhood (NCCM) Hala Abu Ali and Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt James Moran. Nasr signed the EUR-32-million-worth Kafr El Sheikh Wastewater Expansion Program agreement and the agreement on Expanding Access to Education and Protection of Children at Risk, through which EUR 30 million was offered by the EU and EUR 6.15 million by UNICEF that would execute the project in cooperation with the Education Ministry and the NCCM. The last project comes as part of efforts by the Egyptian government to root out school dropout |
