PM Sherif Ismail met with the Mr. David Welch, the regional chairman of the Bechtel organization, Mr. Zaidoun Gawdat, the general manager of the company in Egypt, in the presence of Mr. Ashraf Salman minister of investment.
Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that the prime minister at the beginning of the meeting mentioned the efforts and measures taken by the government to encourage and attract more investments in all economic sectors, as well as the investment opportunities available during the current phase, where pointed to proceed to take action regarding the industrial zone in Suez Canal to allow more investment opportunities for global companies, confirming the importance of special projects in the petrochemicals sector which an input for many products and other industries. Mr. David Welch talked about the activity of the company in Egypt, and projects undertaken by the during the current period, particularly in the area of civil works of the projects of gas and oil, and the keenness of the company to increase their participation in a number of projects in Egypt, and pumping more new investments, in order to benefit from the opportunities available to them, and indicated that the company has experience in the field of electricity generation, both through traditional means through the use of fossil fuel 'Oil and Coal', or the use of new and renewable sources, referring to the ongoing consultations with the Ministry of Electricity and Energy in this regard |
