Sherif Ismail held Meeting to Discuss Chinese President's Visit

Engineer Sherif Ismail, chairman of the Council of Ministers, chaired a meeting in China Unit, in the presence of: the ministers of housing, electricity, investment, agriculture, trade and industry, transport, international cooperation, higher education, culture, and Chairman of the General Authority of the economic zone in Suez Canal, representatives of ministries and bodies concerned, to discuss the final preparations of the themes and cooperation projects to be raised during the visit of the President of China Zhi Ginbing during this month.

Ambassador Hussam Alkawesh , official spokesman for the Council of Ministers stated that engineer Sharif Ismail stressed during the meeting on the importance of the upcoming visit of Chinese President which will commensurate with the depth of relations between the two countries, stressing on the necessity of the topics and the bilateral agreements that will be signed during the visit comprehensive and diversity, including growth of the two peoples both Egyptian and Chinese.

During the meeting, a presentation was made of a detailed report on the proposed projects in cooperation with the Chinese side, which included projects in the transport sector, including the establishment of an electrified train between the cities of peace and the tenth of Ramadan to transport passengers train and another between bilbeis and Robiki to transport goods, and draft a railway line circuit Alexandria Abu Qir, in addition to a project for the development of the docks of the port of Alexandria, a project for producing train carriages, in the electricity sector, renewable energy, reference was made to the bilateral projects in the field of energy storage electric power, the draft for the generation of electricity.

The spokesman said that during the meeting also view bilateral projects proposed in the sector of trade and industry on the establishment of an industrial zone in Al-rubeiky, in the sector of Agriculture and Land Reclamation has been offered a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese side in the area of agricultural research, the establishment of a center for training in the field of combating desertification, research center and agriculture and the mechanism for the draft of the 1.5 million feddans currently for the government, as well as to rotate the agricultural waste production of organic fertilizers.

The meeting also addressed the aspects of bilateral cooperation in the housing sector and reconstruction and private areas of sewage to serve Egyptian villages, construction projects in the new administrative capital, in addition to a number of development projects in the Suez Canal Zone, and in the higher education sector has been put to cooperation in the project for the establishment of a Chinese University, Technical Institute of Technology, and culture were discussed and the arrangements for the establishment of the activities to celebrate the Year of Chinese Culture in Egypt to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, also discussed the convention proposed framework for bilateral cooperation in the field of space satellites, in addition to discussing the ways of overcoming the challenges facing Chinese investments in Egypt and to increased.
