President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered the construction of another 100,000 economic housing units to meet public needs by allocating one billion Egyptian pounds from "Long Live Egypt" fund for the project.
In statements on the fringe of opening several services and housing projects in the 6th of October City, Sisi asserted that people should realize the major challenges facing Egypt. He said the current housing projects are not enough and do not meet the demands of the public, a matter which could lead to building more housing units. Sisi also called for exerting more efforts to stand against such a challenge. He asked officials to present detailed figures and data about the services offered to citizens, noting that pumping 25 million liters of potable water per day costs the State 40 million Egyptian pounds daily away from the costs of building water stations and its regular maintenance to work in a proper way. He also called on officials to give detailed explanation about the offered services. |
