H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, participated in the India Investment Summit 2016, which was inaugurated in the capital New Delhi, with the participation of a number of State Governments, representatives of various Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and institutional investors both domestic and international.
Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the opening session, where a number of Indian leaders talked about their country's investment in vital sectors, and the most promising prospects and trends in the Indian economy. The two-day summit, which has been organised by the Indian Ministry of Finance, will highlight the economic reforms, investment opportunities in different sectors including roads transportation, highways, ports, infrastructure, railways, energy and renewable energy, in addition to vital projects at the Indian subcontinent. On the sidelines of the summit, Sheikh Hamed met with Arun Jaitley, Indian Finance Minister and a number of ministers and leaders from the Indian government to discuss relations of co-operation and friendship between the two friendly countries, as well as themes being examined at the summit such as the investment in several key sectors. Sheikh Hamed stressed the importance of the summit on highlighting vital issues of investment and their role in building a promising future in India. Sheikh Hamed and the Indian minister discussed friendly ties of co-operation between the UAE and India and ways of developing them, particularly in the field of joint investments. The two sides also examined economic development partnerships and exchanged views on various economic and investment policies of common concern. |
