Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil has called for stepping up efforts of combating terrorism and achieving peace world-wide to realize a real economic development.
During a meeting with a delegation of the European affairs committee of the French Senate, the minister underlined President Abdel Fattal El Sisi's repeated call on the international community to play an important role in fighting terrorism. The minister said that Egypt enjoys a state of stability especially after the end of the road map and the election of parliament through fair elections, said a statement issued by the ministry. He praised Egyptian-French relations describing them as deep and historical and said that France is an important economic partner for Egypt. The minister hailed the outcome of the visits exchanged by officials from the two countries and officials of major companies which helped deepening economic and investment relations between the two countries. He said the Egyptian government is keen on luring more French investors to Egypt's markets especially in the fields of automotive as Egypt is currently seeking to develop an integrated strategy for car industry. For his part member of the French Senate Simon Sutour, said the delegation's visit to Cairo aimed at reviewing the latest developments on political and economic arenas. The delegation described French President Francois Hoolande's visit to Egypt next month as an important step for promoting relations. |
