The economic ministerial Committee held its meeting headed by engineer Sherif Ismail, chairman of the Council of Ministers, with the presence of the governor of the central bank, Ministers: planning, housing, supply, electricity, environment, international cooperation, Petroleum, trade, industry, finance, tourism, business sector and investment.
During the meeting, the President of the Council of Ministers assured the Government's intention to achieve full coordination for the completion of all the projects to be implemented in Egypt, according to the government action plan, through the constant follow-up of operational procedures for those projects, indicating that the implementation will be according to priorities taking into account the start of high rates projects of implementation, as well as which contribute to a greater extent in improving the level of services provided to citizens. On the other hand, the Committee agreed to proceed with the procedures for the implementation of a sanitary drainage project in the area of Abu Rawash, scheduled in partnership between the public and private sectors, with a total amount of 4.5 billion pounds, given its positive impact, where working to address one of the most important environmental problems facing the Greater Cairo represented in Al-Salam Canal pollution Al-Hawari , which leads to the increased volume of potable water for irrigation by 1.6 million cubic meters per day, and it is expected that the project will contribute to the provision of 1,500 temporary job opportunities during the implementation period of up to three years, in addition to 450 permanent job opportunities. On his part, Minister of Environment stated his Action Plan for developing the muffle furnaces used to produce charcoal, which aimed at the medium term replacing the current muffle furnaces microwaves production techniques are used to reduce gas emissions, and to identify by providing the owners of muffle furnaces for environmental approval, approved the use of the equipment manufactured locally or those imported from abroad, under a mechanism for financing of concessional with the social fund to help owners muffle furnaces in the use of environmentally compatible , also the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the development is establishing a new model. In the long term, the plan aimed at the resettlement of the activities of the charcoal production using the best technical methods available in the areas of waste recycling planned and conditions of muffle furnaces in current places through the use of models that are environmentally vacation, with each county and the establishment of a working group consisting of the preservation of the ministries of the environment, industry, agriculture, irrigation, to work on the extraction of approvals from all sides on issuing licenses to those successful installations and their environmentally sound technologies. |
