Senegal's Minister of Tourism and Air Transport, Maimouna Ndoye Seck, arrived on an official visit to Egypt.
During the visit, Seck is scheduled to meet a number of officials in order to discuss means of promoting bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector. The Senegalese minister was received at the airport by a number of members of the Senegalese Embassy in Cairo. Earlier, Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed said the Afro-Sino festival of arts and folklore, to be held on July 21-27, will be organized under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry in coordination with the ministries of antiquities and culture. Eighteen countries will take part in the event as follows: Egypt, China, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Gambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Niger, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Djibouti, Rwanda in addition to Senegal. The festival is meant to boost the Egyptian-Chinese ties and to mark the 60th anniversary of the start of relations between the two countries. |
