Transportation Minister Galal el al Saeed laid down the foundation stone of the second part of the fourth phase of Cairo's underground third line.
The second part of the fourth phase includes five stations and serves areas of Heliopolis, el Nozha, Gesr el Suez, el Herafiyen and el Salam city. The total cost of the construction and equipment is estimated at EGP 5.9 billion. The foundation stone ceremony was attended by Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby, Local Development Minister Ahmed Zaki Badr, acting Cairo Governor Ahmed Taimour and Giza Governor Kamal el Daly. Saeed, meanwhile, said that the time needed to implement this phase will be shortened as part of the ministry's keenness on implementing development projects to alleviate the suffering of the Egyptian citizens and improve their standards of living. |
