Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud points to the increased interest of Emirati companies to invest in Egypt

His Excellency Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, 1st Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry received His Excellency Major General Khaled Fouda – Governor of South Sinai in Egypt, and the accompanying delegation at the Chamber’s Tower.

Both sides discussed the increasing interest of Emirati companies in increasing their presence in the Egyptian markets in a way that serves the economy of the two countries.

His Excellency Sharif Al-Diwani, Deputy Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, accompanied the Egyptian delegation to the meeting. Abu Dhabi Chamber Board Members His Excellency Ahmed Al Soudin, His Excellency Ibrahim Al-Khajah and His Excellency Khan Zaman attended the meeting as well along with Mr. Helal Mohammed Al-Hameli, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and a number of companies operating in Abu Dhabi.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Mahmoud welcomed the Egyptian economic delegation, hoping that this visit would contribute to boosting trade relations and strengthening the economic cooperation between businesses and companies in Abu Dhabi and Egypt. He expressed high hopes that this meeting would result in outcomes that go in line with the ambitions of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi from deepening the distinguished relations between the two countries. The Deputy Chairman emphasized that this meeting represents an outstanding opportunity for Emirati businessmen and investors to take a closer look at the available investment opportunities and the facilities which the related authorities in Egypt provides, especially in the Governorate of South Sinai.

For his part, His Excellency Major General Khaled Fouda praised the high level relations between the UAE and Egypt, stressing that the related Egyptian authorities are interested in benefiting from the experience of the UAE in establishing and operating economic specialized zones and in providing the best competitive environment for businesses that contributes to attracting foreign investments and international companies to Egypt in general and South Sinai governorate in particular.

Fouda extended an invitation to Emirati businessmen and investors to diversify and increase their investments in Egypt and South Sinai governorate in particular, emphasizing on the awareness of the related authorities in South Sinai to provide all sorts of support to Emirati investors in order to hold development projects that would push the economic development wheel forwards in the region and increase the efforts of the Egyptian government towards founding proper solutions that would help in achieving the development goals in the region.
