PM Sherif Ismail held a meeting with a delegation of representatives of the General Electric Company, including Mr. Nabil Al Habaib, president of the company in the Middle East and North Africa, in the presence of the ministers of electricity, transport, international cooperation and investment.
In the beginning of the meeting, the representatives of the company report on the proposed projects for cooperation with Egypt, where the president of the Council of Ministers on the appreciation of these projects which cover many areas of development as consistent with the efforts of the State to improve the services provided to citizens and achieving economic growth. The prime minister stressed the importance of the reliance on the components of the local industrialization in the various projects, especially in the sectors of new and renewable sources of energy and transport, as contribute in support of the national economy, and the reduction of import, would help to provide many opportunities for work. Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that the representatives of the company confirmed during the meeting that Egypt is a strategic partner to them and they care to take the necessary steps to achieve that through the implementation of a number of development projects, service and pumping new investments in Egypt. They pointed out that the company has many important investments and successful, and looks forward to further work in the Egyptian market. The proposed projects for cooperation with Egypt, projects in support of the national network to transport and distribution of electricity and its capacity and efficiency, through the establishment of farmers for generating electric power from the wind, and hydroelectric plants, operating clean coal, in addition to the establishment of a number of transformers and control centers and projects in the transport sector for the supply of locomotives to transport passengers and goods to strengthen the railways facility. It also included projects pumping direct investments to develop feeding Series for Small and medium-sized industries and software development training methods, in a number of projects such as the manufacture of wind turbines and logistic center for the energy sector in the Middle East region myriad Africa makes Egypt axis of the export products of General Electric Company to the region, as well as to the center of the digital controller to monitor the performance of the Electricity turbines and forecasting and diagnose failures and to improve efficiency . On the other hand, the company looked forward to contribute in support of the medical sector through the provision of medical equipment and the latest technology in the field of health care at government hospitals in governorates, especially in Upper Egypt, as well as the establishment of a consultancy study to develop a number of governmental hospitals and support the efforts of the State in the provision of water sources and poor villages. |
