Sheriff Ismail Held Meeting to Discuss Egypt, China Cooperation

PM Sherif Ismail held a meeting headed by engineer Sharif Ismail, chairman of the Council of Ministers, and the presence of the ministers of electricity, foreign affairs, military production, international cooperation, oil, trade, industry, transport, investment, and representatives of a number of actors concerned.

It was discussed during the meeting the special position of the projects that are being studied and implemented during this period in the context of joint cooperation between Egypt and China, the prime minister stressed the importance of continued coordination between officials of the two countries exchange sectoral visits of senior officials, in order to finish the studies of the technical and financial, to proceed with the implementation of those projects different production and service, indicating that these projects is expected to have a positive impact in promoting growth areas, creating many job opportunities for the youth, and raise the standard of living of citizens.

Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that the meeting reviewed the projects related to the sectors of cooperation with the Chinese side, in the field of electricity have been dealt with in the draft stations for generating electricity using coal in the region of this will be, in the framework of the expansion in the use of the energy mix and take advantage of new energy and renewable wind, in addition to the projects of modernizing transport networks and distribution of electricity in order to cope with the expansion of the electric energy production during the coming period. In the area of transportdiscussed the draft (electric train) to transport passengers between the cities of peace and the tenth, the draft Monorail linking between Cairo and the city of 6 October, this in addition to the projects of the establishment and management of a number of ports, which include the Sokhna Port Development and the development of a multi-purpose at Alexandria port to serve the containers and goods.

In the oil sector and mineral wealth meeting addressed the projects the establishment of centers of petrochemical industry and optimal exploitation of mineral wealth to maximize the utilization of natural resources in the areas of various development. In the industrial sector has been discussed the project of establishing a textile city in the southern province of Minya to take advantage of the components of the industry in this governorate, on top of the workforce.

It was also discussed many projects in the telecommunications and military production, which includes the manufacture of laptop computers tablet PC, and components of the conversations network connections, and the establishment of a factory for the production of cables made from optical cells (fiber optics) and the processing of special counters electricity, water, gas and all kinds, special paneling solar power.

The meeting also addressed the participation of the Chinese side in a number of projects planned within the economic zone of the Suez Canal to benefit from the advantages of this important project, as well as the first stage in the administrative capital project. Along with projects of the sewage systems stations in a number of poor villages in Delta and Upper Egypt governorates.
