PM Sherif Ismail met with Mr. Philip Oliver, executive president of the ENGIE GLOBAL LNG which operates in the field of energy. This was in the presence of the engineer, Tarek Al Mullah, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Wealth and a delegation of representatives of the company.
Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that the prime minister confirmed that the Egyptian market with many of the promising opportunities in the energy sector, and that the State is keen on attracting more foreign investments in this sector, including contribute to new discoveries, and exchange of experiences, and to maximize the benefit of Egyptian labor, in addition to reducing the gap between domestic production and consumption, and thus reduce the dependence on imports. Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh added that the company's executive president praised Egypt for its new economic reform, expressing the aspiration of the company for further work in the Egyptian market to provide the needs of liquefied gas, as well as contribute its expertise in marketing and shipping, and expressed readiness to work in the field of new and renewable sources of energy, in the framework of the program of the Government to apply the energy mix, and clarified that the present studies indicate the prospect of achieving more discoveries in the field of natural gas in Egypt including meets the needs of the population and the requirements of industry of the various projects. |
