Egypt is adamant to realize greater success with regard to accomplishing sustainable development goals, International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said.
Nasr made the remarks during a session held to mark the first anniversary of launching the sustainable development goals, according to a statement by the ministry. The session was held on the fringe of Nasr's participation in the annual meetings of the World Bank in Washington. Nasr said Egypt has pledged a year ago to realize sustainable development goals within the framework of each citizen's right in all-out development. She called on international development associations to review their strategies to activate development cooperation. The minister reviewed the ministry's efforts to attain sustainable development goals, citing the establishment of a national committee at various ministries and the improvement in health and education services. She added that efforts were exerted to create jobs through launching small and medium sized projects. She also referred to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's launching of a comprehensive program for backing small projects. |
