 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that the "progress and development of our nation require from all Egyptians to be committed, punctual and devoted to work."
“All Egyptians should know that the secret of renaissance of this country lies in their commitment and punctuality,” Sisi told a session on the economic reform and youths' vision on the sidelines of the National Dialogue for Youth that was held in Cairo . Sisi called for simplifying facts for ordinary citizens and urged the finance minister not to use specialized terms during his speech at the conference. The President reviewed some challenges that Egypt faced after the revolution in 2011. “After the January revolution, our imports hit 60-70% of our needs, which exercised pressure on the dollar,” he said. The resources of tourism and exports have declined after the revolution amid a security chaos that led to the closure of some factories and drove tourists away, he added. Those challenges affected the economic sectors, he said, adding that the livestock production was badly hit after owners of cattle sold them to get money to build on the agricultural lands, which affected the supply of meat. |
