 Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil and Somali Minister of Industry and Investment Omar Shoaib Mohamed attended the signing ceremony of two agreements to boost economic relations between the two countries.
The first memorandum of understanding was inked between the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and the Somaliland Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. The two countries signed another memorandum of understanding to expand joint cooperation in the field of local and international fairs. Qabil stressed the need for expanding economic cooperation between Egypt and the Horn of Africa in the coming period. He also expressed his ministry’s readiness to provide technical training courses for Somali cadres in the field of trade and investment. The Somali minister voiced his country’s eagerness to make use of Egyptian expertise in the field of technical and logistical support. |
