 The Egyptian government gives priority to developing the sectors of textile, automotive and chemical industries, Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said
Addressing a conference organized by EFG-Hermes, Qabil said the House of Representatives is currently reviewing a new strategy to turn Egypt into a regional center in the field of auto industry. The Egyptian industrial sector achieved a growth rate of 20 percent in December, the minister pointed out. Egypt's exports of agricultural products increased also by 17 percent this year, he added. |
