The first quarter of the FY 2016-2017 witnessed an improvement in growth, which reached 3.4%, according to Planning Minister Ashraf el-Araby.
Investments increased by one percent in the same period last year, Araby said at a press conference adding that these investments contributed by 1.8 percent of economic growth during the first quarter of the current FY. Consumption declined from 6.2 per cent to only two percent, Araby told reporters. Construction was one of the sectors that tangibly developed, going up by 8.2 percent, the minister said. He added that communications also went up by 11 percent. |
