Egypt’s Ambassador to Djibouti Ahmed Adel Sobhi took part in a meeting organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) office in Djibouti to review the outcome of training a number of Djiboutian cadres in the field of new irrigation technologies.
The training course was co-organized by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) and the Egyptian Agriculture Ministry’s Egyptian International Center of the Agriculture (EICA), a foreign ministry statement said . During the meeting, the level of training and its organization was highly lauded, especially by the director of FAO’s office in Djibouti who highlighted the highly technical and scientific experience gained by the trainees, it added . She also noted that cooperation with Egypt came as part of activating a memorandum of understanding that was signed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and the FAO chief, the statement said. For their part, Djiboutian agriculture ministry officials lauded Egypt for such a positive contribution by the foreign and agriculture ministries, it concluded. |
