 The Egyptian economy will be a main player in the global economic order by 2030, said Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil.
The government is committed to creating a diversified economy which is led by the private sector, he added. This came during a speech delivered by the minister before a symposium organized by the French business agency in cooperation with the French Senate on trade and investment opportunities in Egypt, which was held in Paris. The Egyptian government gives top priority to the economic file, said Qabil in a statement delivered by the ministry He also said that dealing with the economic situation in Egypt required confronting great challenges and implementing constructive economic policies. He further said that implementing the economic reform system in Egypt was not an easy job in light of the current regional and international changes. Talking about the French investments in Egypt, the minister said that the French investments in Egypt stood at about 4.2 billion euros in 2016. |
