Prime Minister Sherif Ismail chaired a meeting of the economic ministerial group in the presence of the ministers of trade and industry, finance, supply and internal trade, agriculture and land reclamation, planning, follow-up and administrative reform.
The meeting took up a number of economic issues topped by discussing the data pertaining to the value of the governmental investments financed by the general treasury which is an important aspect of the economic developmental plan for the year 2017/2018. The plan supports implementing the government's developmental program and the entitlements of establishing projects in various sectors, such as education, health, developing shanty towns and the drinking water and sanitation ventures. The meeting also highlighted the importance of the governmental investments in activating development projects in different sectors and working on increasing job opportunities and decreasing the unemployment rates. The participants in the get-together tackled efforts exerted to provide a suitable atmosphere for local and foreign investments and offer facilitation for establishing more developmental projects in cooperation with the private sector as a pivotal partner in achieving sustainable development. It was agreed that the small and medium enterprises should be supported and developed for its role in offering more job opportunities for the youth |
