 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the importance that the investment map be well-prepared to include the various investment opportunities in Egypt.
Sisi made the comments during his meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Investment and Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr. The president also pressed for action to best benefit from the relative advantages and investment opportunities in each area and governorate. During the meeting, the international cooperation minister presented her ministry’s action plan in the coming period within the framework of an economic reform program being carried out by the government to boost the economy, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said. The minister added that the plan aims at luring more investors to Egypt, encouraging the existing investments to expand and continuing cooperation with the international financing institutions to achieve comprehensive sustainable development. The executive regulations of the new investment law are being prepared while the legislation is being debated in the parliament, she said, adding that efforts are going on to remove obstacles facing investors. To that end, President Sisi directed to hold meetings with Egyptian, Arab and foreign investors to know obstacles they encounter. He also issued directives to provide all means of support for the medium, small and micro-sized enterprises in light of their role in providing more jobs for youths and contributing to economic growth. |
