Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat received Jordan's Ambassador in Cairo Ali Al Ayed to discuss joint cooperation in the transport domain.
A statement issued by the Ministry said the meeting tackled the mechanism of allowing Egyptian trucks and refrigerator trucks from Egypt and Jordan to enter the two countries as the Jordanian side called for extending the mechanism period which is due to expire on April 30, 2017 The Egyptian side called for reducing the tolls of Egyptian trucks' crossing into Jordan's territories. The two sides agreed to put such issues on the agenda of the technical committee for transport between the two sides which is due to meet before the end April. |
