His Excellency Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received His Excellency Husin Bagis, Ambassador of Indonesia to the UAE at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi.
Both sides discusses expanding economic cooperation and increasing joint investments between companies operating in Abu Dhabi with their counterparts in Indonesia. H.E. Al-Rumaithi emphasized on the strong and deep economic and trade relations between the UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular with Indonesia. “Indonesia is an important trade partner to the UAE and Abu Dhabi,” he said, adding, “However, trade figures between the two sides do not reflect the available capabilities they possess, especially in the areas which Abu Dhabi focuses on in its plan and economic vision including the industrial sector, tourism, services, healthcare and education.” For his part, H.E. Bagis called on Emirati investors and businessmen to increase their investments in his country, especially in the tourism, infrastructure and transport sectors. He added that Indonesia is a member of G20 and that it attracts large numbers of big companies from regional and international markets every year. |
