 Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr said she has presented the ministry's plan for comprehensive development in all governorates to raise development rates through funding available from last year that would help provide infrastructure and industrial and economic zones attractive to investors.
During a press conference held on the sidelines of the governors' council meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, the minister said coordination is underway with the Minister of Justice on the bankruptcy law and leasing for companies in order create a legislative and legal atmosphere attractive to investments in the governorates. She added that she presented a list of projects ready for implementation in the governorates in coordination with the governors. She asserted the ministry's keenness on extending utilities to the various areas and encouraging the private sector on partnership with the government. She referred to cooperation between the ministry of investment and governors to draw up a continuously updated investment map in the governorates. The aim is to improve the living conditions of the Egyptian people and improve the family income and this can only be done by providing jobs particularly for youths with a special focus on the neediest governorates, she added. The North Sinai and Upper Egypt governorates will be given priority in incentives through the law and the procedures, she said, adding that she has agreed with the governors to provide services to investors in all governorates in order to implement this program. Egypt is keen on combating terror in Sinai through sustainable comprehensive and development and therefore Sinai will be a priority in this respect. |
